Christmas Cards

I know the title of this blog may seem out of date. But I was overseas for the Christmas season, and my cards didn't make it out. They took a different trip, to the dump. I was thinking about the title of my Blog. So I thought I should share a little about being a newlywed. :)

I spent a day writing out our Christmas cards. We bought some at Costco( I know, sounds a little cheesy). But these were so fun! So I was excited to fill them out and send them to friends and family. I didn't know where I had put my address book, so I left most of them blank. I was headed out of town on the 21st of Nov for 2 months. I left the Christmas Card sending out to my Husband. I asked Wes if he would send them out. He pretty much said "NO". I'm sure he said it in his round about way...but I knew they would be waiting for me when I got home. I was okay with that. Late mail is still better than NO MAIL! At least that was my thinking. After I got back, Wes and I were out to dinner with his Dad. I was talking about sending out the cards late. Wes looked at me and said "Ooohh, I threw those away!"...ha ha I probably looked like I had just been punched in the gut. He said they were in his way and they were old now. Ha ha we have such different thinking when it comes to the small stuff. :) Guess I learned my lesson and do the Christmas cards in a timely fashion. So thank you if you sent one. Sorry you didn't get one in return! They are residing at the local dump!

  1. It is so funny how differently men and women think and how we place importance on different things. Wes probably thought he was helping out by throwing them out. Dan and I are like that too.

  2. I didn't have your address so yours is sitting in an envelope somewhere. Maybe I'll remember to give it to you when you visit! Oh, and FYI, this is the first year we've done Christmas cards since we've been married, so I have to give you kudos for getting as far as you did. :)
